Convertus — Privacy
1. Who We Are
Gondolin LLC ("Gondolin," "we," "us," or "our") is a United States-based technology company. We built the Convertus iOS application ("Convertus" or "the Application"). This privacy policy applies solely to Convertus. For our other products and services, separate policies may apply.
2. Data We Collect
We collect nothing. Convertus does not collect, store, transmit, log, retain, or process any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, advertising IDs, IP addresses)
- Location data of any kind, precise or approximate
- Usage data, screen views, taps, conversion history, or any in-app behavior
- Diagnostic, performance, or crash data collected by us
- Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, or any other on-device content
Convertus has no accounts, no logins, and no user profiles. There is nothing to sign up for.
3. Network Activity
Convertus does not connect to the internet. The Application performs no network requests of any kind: no API calls, no analytics beacons, no font or asset downloads, no update checks, no telemetry. All conversion calculations, language packs, themes, and assets are bundled within the Application and executed locally on your device. Convertus functions identically whether your device is online or offline.
4. Third Parties
Convertus contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs), no advertising networks, no analytics services, no tracking pixels, no social media integrations, and no embedded third-party content. We do not share data with any third party, because we do not collect any data to share.
5. Apple and the App Store
When you download Convertus from the Apple App Store, Apple may collect information about that transaction in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy. Gondolin does not receive personally identifying information about who downloads or uses Convertus. We may see aggregate, non-identifying download counts and app reviews through App Store Connect.
If you have iOS analytics sharing enabled (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers), Apple may include anonymized crash reports and performance data in the standard developer reports we receive. This sharing is controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings and can be disabled at any time. Convertus itself does not collect or transmit this data — Apple does, with your consent, at the operating system level.
6. Children's Privacy
Convertus does not collect data from anyone, including children. The Application is suitable for users of all ages.
7. Your Rights
Because Convertus collects no data about you, there is no data to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete. The Application runs entirely on your device. To remove everything associated with Convertus, simply delete the Application; nothing is retained on any external system because nothing was ever transmitted to one.
If you are a resident of California, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction with data protection laws (CCPA, GDPR, UK GDPR, etc.), your rights under those laws are not engaged by Convertus, because Convertus is not a processor or controller of any personal data.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change Convertus in a way that causes it to collect any data, we will: (a) update this policy and revise the "Updated" date above; (b) update the App Store Privacy Nutrition Label for Convertus; and (c) make a reasonable effort to inform existing users through the Application or our website before any new collection begins. We will never retroactively collect data about prior use.
